Introduction<\/h2>\n

Inspect Element<\/strong> is used to view the code used in web pages, the HTML codes, javascript animations or CSS styles(font type, size, design etc). In web browsers, we can inspect elements by pressing \u201cCtrl+Shift+I\u201d or\u201d F12\u201d key. However, Inspecting elements in mobile is not that simple. <\/p>\n

We have a few ways to inspect elements in mobile :<\/p>\n

  1. Using Third-Party apps like VT View Source( Available on PlayStore)<\/li>\n
  2. Using \u201cview-source:\u201d in Chrome before URL<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Using \u201cVT View Source\u201d app<\/h3>\n

      VT View Source is a free to use app available on play store with no Ads. It can be used to view the HTML, CSS, JavaScript or XML resources of webpages.<\/p>\n

      Getting started with VT View Source:
      \nDownload the VT View Source app from the play store and open it.<\/p>\n

      Now type the URL for the website that you want to inspect. It\u2019ll show the code used on the website.<\/p>\n

      You\u2019ll be able to see the code with line number but can\u2019t change the code. Now press the \u201cthree dots\u201d icon on the top right corner to see the accessibility menu.<\/p>\n

      Important Menu workings:<\/h3>\n
        \n
      1. Open URL:<\/strong> To open any URL and inspect the code.<\/li>\n
      2. Show Headers:<\/strong> To Show which device You\u2019re inspecting on(OS, Device model, etc), content type, connection, date, server, etc.<\/li>\n
      3. Settings:<\/strong> To change the background color, text size, enable\/disable line number for code on mobile.<\/li>\n
      4. Save to file:<\/strong> To save the code in a .txt file.<\/li>\n
      5. Page Info:<\/strong> To view the number of lines and characters used in code.<\/li>\n
      6. Validate:<\/strong> Uses HTML parser to validate the code.<\/li>\n
      7. Check links:<\/strong> Test the links on the website to find broken pages and other issues.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n

        Using \u201cview-source:\u201d before URL in Chrome<\/h3>\n

        It is a simple method to view the code of a website, open Chrome in mobile and type \u201cview-source:\u201d before any URL and you\u2019ll be able to see the code.

        Inspect element on iOS:<\/h4>\n

        To inspect elements on iOS, we\u2019ll need an iPhone<\/a>, Apple Computer and a USB cord that connects them.
        \nSteps to inspect element: <\/p>\n

        1. Go to settings – Safari – check the \u201cEnable Web Inspector\u201d, in some devices the option might be under Safari – Advanced Settings.\n

        2. Now open safari on the device and open the webpage you want to inspect.<\/li>\n
        3. Connect your iPhone, iPad to Apple Computer.<\/li>\n
        4. Go to Develop – Select your device – and start inspecting.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
