McMahon, chairman of World Wrestling Entertainment, reported the announcement and that the league is not planning to start up again until 2020. The XFL is an opportunity to reimagine America&#8217;s favourite sport for the media and most importantly football fans and look forward to implementing innovative ideas from players, coaches, medical experts, technology executives.<\/p>\n<p>WWE clarified at that time that it was not going back into the football business, but McMohan insisted and continued with his role. The chairman and CEO of WWE McMahon created Alpha Entertainment separate from WWE and also acquired five XFL trademarks that WWE abandoned between 2002 and 2005. In order to help fund the company, he sold 3.34 million shares of WWE stock (about $100 million worth). <\/p>\n<p>XSL Stands: In short XFL is an alternative to the NFL. Founders wanted to name their league as \u201ceXtreme Football League,\u201d whereas they said, \u201cX\u201d stands for anything, but since a league of a similar name already existed, NFL which they considered being stuffy and boring.<\/p>\n<h3>How is the XFL different from the NFL?<\/h3>\n<p>The XFL is a faster version of the NFL with a stated intention to play games in under three hours. For XFL several NFL rules have changed and added a continuous clock that won\u2019t stop for incomplete passes or plays that go out of bounds except in the final two minutes of each half.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/studysection.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/teams.png\" alt=\"teams\"\/><\/p>\n<h3>XFL team names for 2020<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Dallas Renegades<\/li>\n<li>Houston Roughnecks<\/li>\n<li>Los Angeles Wildcats<\/li>\n<li>New York Guardians<\/li>\n<li>St. Louis BattleHawks<\/li>\n<li>Seattle Dragons<\/li>\n<li>Tampa Bay Vipers<\/li>\n<li>D.C. Defenders<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>XFL game rules:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The teams can go for one, two or three points by running a play from the 2,5 or 10-yard line, No extra points will be given after touchdowns.<\/li>\n<li>Multiple forward passes can be thrown on each play<\/li>\n<li>If the game ties, each team will get five plays from the 5-yard line and will get one point each time it scores, <\/li>\n<li>There is a replay challenge that will take no more than 30 seconds.<\/li>\n<li>A shorter play clock will be just 25 seconds between plays.<\/li>\n<li>A player only has some part of his body inbounds while controlling a thrown ball.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><small><em>Microsoft Windows 10 is a widely used operating system in computers all over the world.
