What is AccelQ?
AccelQ is an automation tool used to automate web applications, mobile applications, and API testing. AccelQ is widely used to automate applications built on the salesforce platform and it is the only automation tool available on the Salesforce App Exchange.

There are certain key points about the tool – AccelQ which make it stand out in the automation world. We can get over a few points to understand the tool better:

Let’s get into detail with these points:
- Universe: Universe in AccelQ is the graphical representation of all the scenarios and actions, making the relation between actions and scenarios simple to understand.
We can select any scenario from the right panel and it’ll only show a graphical presentation of actions that are included in that scenario only. We can see all the actions, scenarios, and contexts from this view. - Scenarios: The scenario in AccelQ is a stepwise approach that we follow to automate any particular component. For example, if we want to log into Facebook, we can divide it into a few parts like A.) Open Facebook URL, B.) Enter Credentials, C.) Click Login Button.
Here, points A, B, and C are actions and a combined stepwise collection creates a scenario to log into Facebook.A Scenario is basically a set of actions put together to perform any task.
This is an example of isolating a scenario in the universe, and we can see the actions put together to verify QBank Login as a scenario. - Actions: An Action in AccelQ is a set of statements or a single statement, to perform a certain action like click, generate data, etc. on a context(View of a webpage). Actions. In order to perform any action, we first need a context and then we need to identify elements in that context, so we can interact with them.
Here, “Enter $1783 in Amount field” is a statement, and “Amount” is an element. - Contexts: Contexts in AccelQ is the view of the webpage, we need to capture the view of all the pages we want to interact with before we can create action out of it.
