Introduction To Skype For Business

Skype for Business, previously known as Microsoft Lync Server, is the real-time communications center inside Office 365 including instant messaging, for online meetings, voice over IP, voicemail, video conferencing, web conferencing and email.

The later version of Microsoft Lync became Skype for Business in the year 2015 with new client experience, new release, and updated features in Office 365. Skype for Business comes with new features and flexibility.
